Our Mark
Our Mark: The Oval Heron
Our heron’s body faces forward into the future, but its head looks back — honoring the craft and heritage that came before us. The slight tilt is intentional: a nod to the makers who came before, the traditions we carry, and the respect owed to the past as we push forward.
Why the Heron
Along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, herons and terns are part of the everyday landscape. They wade patiently, hunt precisely, and carry themselves with a quiet elegance. In silhouette, the heron is unmistakable — tall, refined, and unlike any other bird.
For us, that silhouette became a symbol. A reminder to move with patience and purpose. To build with grace and restraint. To stand apart, not by being loud, but by being true.
Why the Oval
The oval framing is no accident. Makers and tradesmen have used it for centuries to frame their marks. It’s simple, balanced, and timeless — the same qualities we want in every piece we make.
Why the Details
The font is bold but not brash. Readable, confident, and chosen to last. You won’t see it splashed across everything we make. We’re not interested in plastering logos. Our mark is there to identify, not to dominate.
That’s why you’ll see it pressed discreetly into leather, or paired down to the heron silhouette on smaller items. On packaging and stationery, it appears in chocolate or parchment tones — never flashy, never loud. Always understated. Always us.
What It Means
The Oval Heron isn’t decoration. It’s a statement.
-
To honor the past while pressing forward.
-
To work with patience, precision, and purpose.
-
To let the craft itself speak louder than any logo ever could.
It’s a mark rooted in the Gulf Coast, carried in every piece that leaves our bench, and a reminder of why we do what we do.
